CCUI visited the Nantong Coastal Group and conducted an inspection of Pingchao New City and Tongzhou Bay Area

On April 15, 2020, Chairman of China Resource Chairman, Mr. Wei Jianhua, and CEO, Mr. Su Bin, visited Nantong Coastal Development Group. They were received by Mr. Gao Hongyu, Chairman of Nantong Coastal Development Group, Mr. Liu Jian, General Manager, Mr. Gu Xiaochun, Vice General Manager, and other leaders. During the meeting, they had an in-depth discussion about the industrial planning and cooperation methods in Nantong City.

Mr. Gao Hongyu, Chairman of Nantong Coastal Development Group, provided an introduction to the group's strategic plans and regional development. Under the correct leadership of the Nantong Municipal Committee and Municipal Government, the group is focused on the development of coastal areas with the aim of becoming a comprehensive development and operation service provider with core competitiveness in industrial development, regional development, and financial trade.

Mr. Gao Hongyu mentioned that the group is actively promoting the development and construction of two major areas: Pingchao High-speed Railway New City and Tongzhou Lake Demonstration Zone. They are also expanding into financial services and trade, striving to create a business model of "finance + industry + real estate," and dedicating themselves to the development concept of industry-finance integration and urban-industry integration. Additionally, they are exploring the education and cultural sectors based on their existing resources.

 

Mr. Wei Jianhua expressed that Nantong has promising development prospects. He suggested focusing on the industrial development of the regions, promoting regional development through the "industry-driven urban development" approach, and noted that there are substantial opportunities for cooperation in various areas, including cultural tourism and energy trade.

After the meeting, the delegation conducted a field visit to Pingchao High-speed Railway New City, 1895 Cultural and Creative Park, and Tongzhou Bay Area. They discussed the development plans, designs, and potential areas of cooperation with the on-site team from Nantong Coastal Development Group. They have essentially clarified the initial direction of cooperation. The two sides will start their cooperation by jointly creating the 1895 Cultural and Creative Park, which includes the renovation of existing buildings, promoting independent branding, and establishing a landmark cultural tourism project for Nantong City.
