On August 1, 2021, the 'Childhood Dreams: The Eric Carle Exhibition' created by KIDDY Art Museum, a subsidiary of China United Investment's cultural tourism sector, officially opened at the BFC Bund Financial Center in Shanghai. To date, it has attracted nearly a thousand parent-child families who have made reservations and attended the exhibition, receiving rave reviews.
The "Very Eric Carle Exhibition" has been touring at 12 permanent museums in the United States since 2015, attracting millions of visitors. The Shanghai exhibition is a special presentation of the collaboration between the Pittsburgh Children's Museum and the Eric Carle Picture Book Art Museum in the United States, marking its debut in China. KIDDY Art Museum, in partnership with Disney partners Yong Yi Ge and Sage House, presents Eric Carle's whimsical world through immersive lighting, interactive multimedia shows, and more.
The exhibition is divided into three main areas: the Animal World, the Insect World, and the Art World, along with a shopping area. It features over 15 interactive exhibits, including multimedia shows, educational games, art installations, children's galleries, and more. These exhibits bring to life nine iconic picture books, such as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?," "From Head to Toe," "Draw Me a Star," and "10 Rubber Ducks." This multidimensional exhibition combines elements of museums, crafts, art, and technology, immersing children in an interactive journey to explore the mysteries of nature and providing a fresh exhibition experience for families and children.
The current special exhibition is located at the Bund Finance Center (BFC), renowned as the new landmark of the Shanghai Bund. It is situated on the 5th floor in the BFC NOW space, offering an excellent geographical location. The first floor of BFC Bund Fengjing is a trendy weekend limited-time pedestrian street that attracted 6 million people in 2020, with over 400 cooperating brands. This iconic venue accentuates the level and superiority of the exhibition project.
