Beijing World Horticultural Exposition Business Management Co., Ltd is a joint venture formed by the Beijing World Horticultural Exposition Coordination Bureau and China United Investment Holdings Corporation. Its primary objective is to introduce market mechanisms and comprehensively develop the brand value of the World Horticultural Exposition.

The 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition, also known as the "Beijing Expo," was approved by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and recognized by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). It was a professional international exposition hosted by the Chinese government, following the 1999 Kunming International Horticultural Exposition. The Beijing Expo aimed to enhance mutual exchanges between countries, combining cultural achievements with modern technological advancements. It was a significant A1-level world horticultural exposition held in Yanqing District, Beijing, adjacent to the Badaling Great Wall, from April 29, 2019, to October 7, 2019, spanning 162 days.

To host this event, the Chinese government established the Beijing Expo Organizing Committee, chaired by Vice Premier Wang Yang, as the decision-making body. At the municipal level in Beijing, the Beijing Expo Executive Committee, led by Secretary Guo Jinlong, was created to serve as the daily executive body of the Beijing Expo Organizing Committee. Under the Beijing Expo Executive Committee, the Beijing World Horticultural Exposition Coordination Bureau was established to handle various daily tasks related to the preparation of the exposition.

CCUI, initiated by central enterprises, local state-owned enterprises, and well-known private enterprises, including China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC), Shanghai Lingang Group, and Bosideng Group, among others, inherits the legacy of the Chinese Enterprise Joint Pavilion at the 2015 Milan Expo.
