On October 21, 2024, local time in France, CCUI participated in the "China Ningbo - France Rouen" economic and trade cooperation exchange meeting. Under the witness of the leaders of Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, as well as the mayor of Rouen, France and relevant officials, CCUI, Ningbo Jintian Copper (Group) Co., Ltd., Safewell Group Holdings (China) Co., Ltd. and other enterprises signed procurement and investment agreements covering high-performance optical equipment and other fields with a number of French companies, marking the further deepening of Sino-French economic and trade cooperation.
CCUI is currently in talks to invest in FOGALE Nanotech, a French famous company founded in 1983 with a focus on high-precision dimensional metrology in capacitive, optical, induction and ultrasonic technologies, whose continuous innovation has set new high performance standards in the industry.
FOGALE's LensX company is focused on improving the photographic quality of smartphones and AR/VR lenses, combining optical and artificial intelligence technologies to achieve superior image results through its own hardware and software. LensX has cooperated with many well-known domestic manufacturers such as Sainty Marine Optical to further promote the localized application of the technology. CCUI and LensX plan to establish an advanced production capacity and research and development sales center in China, and the investment is expected to reach 80 million US dollars.
In recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between Ningbo and France has been continuously strengthened, and the bilateral trade volume reached 2.83 billion US dollars last year. The goal of this cooperation is to combine advanced French technology with the Chinese market, promote application innovation in the field of optics, and inject new vitality into regional economic development.
